A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF NUQOOSH MAGAZINE
Abstract
In 1951, Muhammad Tufail, at the age of 27, became the editor of 'Nuqoosh' and with determination, devotion and dedication made it a peerless and most shining example in the history of Urdu literary magazines. His deep love for this magzine inspired Molvi Abdul Haq to name him Muhammad Nuqoosh. Muhammad Tufail remained the editor from 1951 till his death in 1986, for about 35 years, during that period he brought such special issues of Nuqoosh, which have become a great literary and educational treasure of permanent value for readers and research scholars. In this essay, the publication of Nuqoosh is divided into four parts and each part has been examined critically to determine its importance and place in the realm of Urdu literature.
