Family cyprinidae was found to be the most abundant, represented by 8 species viz, Cyprinus carpio, Cyprinion watsoni, Puntius sphore, Puntius ticto, Labeo rohita, Barilius pakistanicus, Barilius vegra and Crossocheilus diplocheilus. Family Suliridae and Mastacembalidae both were represented by a single species each of Ompok pabda and Mastacembalus armatus respectively.
